PGA Golf Lessons at Horam Park
Golf lessons at Horam Park are led by PGA Head Professional Giles Velvick, who brings over 25 years of coaching experience to players of all levels. From swing work and short game practice to playing lessons on the course, each session is shaped around what you want to improve and how you naturally play.
Coaching that meets you where you are
Good coaching should feel useful, not overwhelming. Giles works with beginners, juniors, returning golfers and experienced players, helping each person understand what is happening in their game and what to focus on next.
Lessons can cover full swing, short game, putting, bunkers, course management or a mixture of different areas. You can also book a 9-hole playing lesson, giving you the chance to work on your game in real situations out on the course.
Coaching at Horam Park makes full use of the facilities on site, including the covered and floodlit driving range, two grass tees used exclusively for teaching, the golf course and the new Rapsodo Range AR system.
All lessons include clubs and balls, video analysis and use of the golf course where appropriate.

Six-month programme
Golf Academy Membership
The Golf Academy Membership is a six-month option for new golfers, returning players or anyone who wants a more structured way to improve.

The six-month Academy Membership includes:
- 5 individual 30-minute golf lessons
- 6 monthly one-hour group lessons
- 7 rounds of 9 holes, with 20% discounted green fees thereafter
- Members' rates for the driving range
- Pro Shop discounts and equipment advice from the professionals
- Bar and restaurant membership discount card
- Guest rate green fees for up to 3 guests
- Invite to Graduate Membership after completion

Practice backed by useful technology
Technology is most helpful when it makes your game easier to understand. Horam Park's coaching facilities give Giles different ways to show you what is happening with your swing, ball flight and overall technique.
The Rapsodo Range AR system adds a new layer to outdoor coaching, with ball and club metrics, shot videos, Shot Vision, Impact Vision and two camera angles available while you hit real balls on the range. It can help make practice more focused, visual and easier to review.
Alongside the covered driving range, grass teaching tees and the course itself, lessons can be shaped around the part of your game that needs the most attention.
